She previously served as Executive Vice President and Head of Analysis at a U.S. corporate risk intelligence consultancy advising Fortune 500 companies. Mercy also served as an all-source analyst at the CIA.

Mission Grey is pleased to announce that Mercy Kuo has joined the company as Head of Strategy, United States.

Mercy brings extensive experience in strategic analysis, risk intelligence, and international affairs across government, research, media, and advisory roles. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations understand how external developments shape business decisions and outcomes.

She previously served as Executive Vice President and Head of Analysis at a U.S. corporate risk intelligence consultancy advising Fortune 500 companies. Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions at the Washington State China Relations Council, the Committee of 100 in New York, and U.S. foreign policy research institutions focused on Asia and strategic affairs.

Mercy also served as an all-source analyst at the CIA, specializing in political, security, and military issues in Northeast and Southeast Asia.

Alongside her advisory and analytical work, Mercy is Senior Contributing Author on U.S.-Asia policy at The Diplomat. She regularly presents on strategic risk and international affairs at institutions including NATO-sponsored conferences, Columbia University, Harvard University, MIT, the National University of Singapore, and the U.S. State Department Foreign Service Institute.

Mission Grey is building an External Intelligence Layer and Hub that helps organizations understand and manage external factors affecting their business. The platform combines global data, AI, business-specific intelligence models, expert insight, and operational applications into a single capability.

External factors such as politics, regulation, global affairs, finance, supply chains, and emerging trends increasingly shape business outcomes. Mission Grey helps organizations monitor these developments, assess their impact, build scenarios, and turn information into action.

In her role, Mercy will support Mission Grey's strategic development and growth in the United States while helping organizations strengthen their ability to understand and respond to external change.
